Well, we partied like it was our birthday....and it was a birthday present for Jacob and Sara....but...it wasn't our birthday. We went to the Toby Mac Hits Deep Tour concert last Friday. It was AmazeBalls.
Brandon Heath
Mandisa
Chris August
Britt Nicole
Jamie Grace
Group 1 Crew
Those were all the performers. We got the tickets last July and gave tickets to Sara and Jacob for their birthdays. Jesse got 2 tickets and him and Hannah came too!
Brandon's dad was married to our aunt while we were growing up, so he's
our ex-step cousin - lol! We remember when he got his first
guitar...have pictures of him playing Christmas songs in his boxers
strumming his new guitar, so it is always super cool to see him
perform..especially in a place as big as Bridgestone Arena in Nashville!
He was kind enough to come to our seats to say hi!!
The concert was SO good!
Unexpectedly we were asked to come down to the floor and stand by this little stage. We started to get REALLY excited because we thought we knew what was about to happen, and then lo and behold Toby Mac comes back there and is performing about 2 inches from us. He went to pick up his water between songs and Jesse was in the way so he just picked it up and handed it to him.
We went and had ice cream after the concert. I had pumpkin pie ice cream and old fashioned homemade root beer. It was SO good.
Kiley stayed with her Mamaw and Papa. We got in late so we spent the night there too. She had a good night with them :)
The next day we took K to see Santa for the first time. She did so good. He wasn't super cute, but she made up for it - lol.
We went to Murfreesboro for lunch that afternoon with the hubby's mom and family for his upcoming birthday. Sunday we had dinner at Mimi and Pops' and Mom went all out and baked a turkey. We went to the Christmas program at church that night and I was brave and brought K in with us so she could watch her Mamaw and Papa sing. She did pretty good! She was all over the place, of course, since she is a little ball of energy, but thankfully she was quiet enough.
